Ringwoods 1.6 Update

IMPORTANT! DO NOT TRY TO LOAD A GAME SAVE FROM THE EARLIER VERSIONS AFTER INSTALLING THIS UPDATE. MAKE SURE YOU START A NEW FRESH GAME.

V1.6 406mb zip, Ringwoods Map Update, Multiplayer YES. Map opimised via 2nd GE pass to reduce size. Ringwoods 1.6 is log error free and many isuues reported fixes.

Important Change:  You need to unzip the file and you will have RingwoodsV16update and AnimationMapTrigger plus a short notepad readme. Place both zip files in your mod folder. The included AnimationMapTrigger has the functions for the Gates, Roof and Doors to the new chicken fattening shed at the North Farm.

Starting equipment is better than basic and worth +999k if sold towards mods.

It would be a great help to others If you could comment on how this map performs with your PC system specs. This plays perfectly on our systems with settings set to HIGH and 2xAS , 2xAA enabled. Win7 64bit, 8gb Ram, Xeon quad core CPU's and Geforce 670 MSI graphics cards.

Ringwoods was based on the Westbridge map and has a huge surrounding forestry trail which rings the full map on it's pushed back boundary without sacrificing any field space. To say a few trees are pre-planted is an understatment and it's a fun place to take an off road pickup. Field layouts have been changed from the Westbridge original map to make better operating environment. The trees have had photoshop work and so have most of the textures in the map making it a beautiful place to farm in.

New for V1.6.

Chicken Fattening, Silage silo, Mixstation, Feedstore, new conveyors and a revised layout at the North Farm.

MH Timber Merchants is a large mill in the Station yard with Marhu's new sawmill at it's center along with pallet board sell trigger at the mills warehouses and a woodchip tip trigger at the mill boiler so once the logs are arrive there everythings on hand to make money. Floodit at night like the other main areas.

New Converyor system in place at Ringwoods Main, North and the South Farms.

New layout at the Northern Sawmill.

Woodchips tip triggers added to all of the sawmills boilers.

Field Elevations changed at the north farm area.

New Textures to the farm Storage shed's, golf resturant, hangers, train station and other areas around the map.

All Manure heaps now fully empty via conveyor.

3 fields are owned at the start now Although field 19 at the south sawmill forestry boundary entrance is only for replanting trees.

All fields a now locked off with correct dimmensions, labelling and prices adjusted.

Hours have been spent around the map fixing floating objects and buildings.

Sale prices have been adjusted slightly. Chicken Has been added to CMP meats.

PDA MAP is updated with the new areas and has new icons for the 3 sawmills wood shell triggers and the pallet board sell trigger at MH Timber.

Map icons added for the animal fattening buildings and sawmill boiler tip triggers.

All the trees replaced before zipping.

Area landscaping work all over the map.

Added starting equipment to the north farm.

There's more but I've forgot and you have to look to notice. Stevie.

Thanks to all that pointed problems and niggles out for me to fix or change ready for this update, they have all been addresed.  I'm 1 guy and I make mistakes but I fix them fast if I'm made aware.

Framerate is still silky smooth on our PC's although it may glitch upon first starting the game until the caches are filled. Also at 9pm when the lights come on you may see a performance decrease. Driving around the areas with the lights on will help speed up the caching.
As always this map was designed to run on our PC's the spec's above and it does perfectly. However  I CAN NOT guarantee that it will run, perform and play as intended on your PC system but hopefully it will.

You are not allowed to modify and re-upload this map without my permission so please don't, make and edit your own maps and mods it's fun.

You can however use my modifed textures including the trees for your own map and upload them with it. Thanks Stevie.

    Hey steve I love your map i been paying since 1.4 but i do have a question the silage fermintation at the biogas plant the fermenters at the one nest to the scales and one beside it wont fully empty out for me on 1.4. or 1.5 did it get fixed in 1.6 if not would you please fill thoes and see if they work for you for now i cant fill either one on 1.5 i am dowlonading 1.6 now if your have gotten to them before i commented thank you very much i do loave the map

    Hi REDNECKPOP I researched it after I checked it and silo's 1 and 2 wouldn't empty fully for me and it's a known bug but the fix is easy. You go into your career game save using notepad++ and in the silo section for the BGA silo's 1 and 2 will show a value all you do is enter 0 to fully reset them. Giant's say that silo's 3 and 4 are not effected by the bug and that it should be fixed in the next FS2015 game update. Entering the zero's fixed mine and it only takes a few minutes to do.

    I also think I spotted what causes it in the first when I was checking the silo values in GE and I noticed that the ground coordinates for silo 1 and 2 are different to 3 and 4 so I will test that theory this weekend by setting 1 and 2 to the same values as 3 and 4 and see if they work correctly for you.

    Hi Nick my krampe multi trailers take compost but they're others on here to. I'm not going multifruit with this map as of yet as the mod I've seen is quite large in size. I've thrown the idea of the soil mods out the windows as well buddy.

    Great update Stevie! I have a question about the sawmill. After you bring the logs and drop them at the mill does the mill produces wood chips and planks right? Do you need a special vehicle to transform the planks? Do you sell it on the same yard? Sorry I haven't explored the map in more details yet.

    Hi GUEST The mill needs logs and fuel before it will start production. The boards are sold infront of the mills warehouse tip trigger so a short pallet lift with a loader is all it takes. The wood chips can be shovelled into the mill's boiler tip trigger. Look at the blackboard on the sawmills wall for production info update.

    hey i love your map and just started to play this new version. my question is with the sawmills you have on the map how do you use them? i have driven logs to the sell point but they never sell so wondering if i doing something wrong. keep up the good work

    Hi KIAN I will check them later, you just drive over the marker to sell them normally bar at the mill where you need to fill the sawmill with fuel like straw, empty the logs on the other side and it will start producing boards and woodchips.

    The saw mill works I already tested it. Drop the logs make sure on the other side you feed it with fuel (wood chips, straw, wool etc). Then you see it starts producing boards and wood chips. There is a black board where you dropping the logs you can check the progress.

    Question about barn doors. They dont open when I drive close I see a little icon says open/close but nothing happens. Do I need to press anything? I did drop the trigger zip into my mods folder.

    The only doors that are triggered are the animal fattening shed's. The other barns do have bale destroyers though at their doorways.

    I've just tested all the wood sell triggers and they are all working but the one at the south sawmill isn't working as it should it's set a little high I had to lift the tree a couple of feet with the scorpion for it to sell but logs on a trailer should be fine for now. Wood sell point's are the boxes on the floor. Tip point is woodchips.

    FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN'T LOAD THE MAP. Place the map in it's own mods folder call it say for example mods2. Rename your original mods folder to say mods3 then rename the Ringwoods mods2 folder back to mods, load and test. Ringwoods has mods incorporated like some of the ZZZ's. If they are in the same folder as Ringwoods it won't load.

    First, thank you for this map! I absolutely love it, by far the best map for me so far. It runs silky smooth for me.I am however having some issues with getting the straw out of storage on the central farm. No matter where I drive my tipper it wont fill it up. The wood chips, potatao and sugar beet convayer works fine though. Am I doing something wrong, do you need to activate something to get the straw/hay convayers to work?

    Hi FREESTATE FARMER I'm busy working on it now. So far miles of fencing and gates are done on the whole map which has totally changed how the map plays. There's a new field layout in the north which has created a huge field, largest in the map and a medium one by it's side. Hundreds more trees have gone in, You can now fit a Krampe 900 under the compost plants outlet, Malc's extra compost storage it there at the moment as well.

    I forgot about those in the other post half are in the other half will be but are a bit more complicated as I have a different storage setup to most feedstores. The solution is 2 displays in each of the silage, grass and straw stores as they are dual but the display's don't allow for it.

    Do the wood pallets appear in the warehouse or next to the sawmill like the original mods? I started with a couple wood pallets in the warehouse, but they will not sell (I'm assuming the sell point is the box in front of the three open sheds directly across from the mill). Just wondering if those starter pallets are merely cosmetic.

    Hi SCOTT you can't sell the ones in the warehouse they are for show. Load the sawmill will logs one side and fuel the other(Straw for example) once the mill has both is will start production. A pallet will spawn and start to fill with boards. Once full, loader lift the pallet off and take to the tip trigger in front of the warehouse on the floor.

    Hi RUNEAA the only doors that the animation map trigger is for are the ones at the Chicken Fattening shed at the north farm. PC Xbox pad buttons LB+B to open them when the icon appears. The PIG and Beef doors open without the animation map trigger. The other barn doors won't open but do have dale destroyer triggers in front of them.

    Anybody know if the digital feedstore amount displays flicker like mad on other maps as I've wasted a day trying to correct the problem without any luck and I'm about to remove them all. If it's normal on other maps I'll leave them. Let me know guy's.

    Hi SOGGYTOAST what it probably is that RINGWOODS has some mods that usually go in as zips to the mod folder built into it. I think there's 3 main ones like the zzz-compost mod, liquid manure mod and one other I can't recall and I'm not home to check. If you have the zips in the MOD Folder it can prevent Ringwoods from loading.

    SOGGYTOAST, FREESTATE FARMER knows which mods conflict it. If you remove them from the mod folder Ringwoods will load. SO I think this will be the root behind the issue with the server that you are having. If I get time I will correct this for the 1.7 release. If not it will be a later version.

    I've spent the day sorting the file system out and making the map full dependant on external mods so it should now be fully compatible like other maps. Also Huge performance increase has been gained so the graphic LOD terrain distance has been upped along with shadow distance. Now testing for the rest of the week.

    Hey Stevie. I noticed that one of your conveyer is dropping way off its intended load on trailer.( Falling particals OUT of conveyer and not at END of conveyer) Recall it was at the southern farm. For suggestion of digital display. What about a single big display mounted against a building? Then you dont need to put at every silo or storage place. I saw map ( Westbridge_Forest_V4) and it looks good where the guy put it at his main farm.

    Another suggestion of your map. Some fields got pointing hills sticking out where the sale triggers are. Not a problem for Harvester but just more better looking if it was more in shape of the rest of the field. :)

    Hi Stevie....I loaded 200000 l of corn into the main silos and was unable to load any more into the main silo so I loaded another 200000 l into the north farm silo's, but I only ended up with 2000000 l total. Are all the farm silo's tied together? Can you increase the capacity on the silos?

    Hi Randy yes the standard farm silo's are tied together. I Have Finished V1.7 but have not uploaded it yet so I will have a look what I can do today to increase storage and get it into V1.7 for Friday. Cheers Stevie

    Randy I couldn't get the silo's sorted in time for V1.7 which is live now for download but it does have plenty of space for placeable mods so you may find a silo set to use in the meantime. Cheers Stevie.

    Hi VALBERG did you unzip the first folder to get the 6 zips inside to place in your mods folder. If you did try placing Ringwoods and it's zip files in it's own mod folder and see if it loads then. If it does then you have a mod conflict in your original mod folder.
