Natural Disasters v1.0

The open world in BeamNG.drive is far too dull. This mod fixes that by adding natural disasters that affect your gameplay. As you travel through the world, you can randomly stumble upon various natural cataclysms: a tornado might start up and destroy everything in its path, a meteor shower, an earthquake, and much more.

The mod comes in two versions: Free and Pro. The only difference is that the PRO version has more disaster options and more settings. Both versions will be expanded with new effects in future updates.

🌍 Natural Disasters — Full Event ListFREE — 6 disasters

• 🌪️ Tornado — A roaming funnel that sucks cars in, whips them around, and hurls them into the air.
• ☄️ Meteor Shower — Flaming meteors streak down and blast cars apart where they hit.
• 🌍 Earthquake — The ground heaves: vehicles rattle, bounce and kick up clouds of dust.
• ⚡ Lightning Storm — Bolts rain down and strike traffic, your car, and the bare asphalt.
• ❄️ Blizzard — A whiteout snowstorm with howling wind, near-zero visibility and ice underfoot.
• 🌫️ Fog Bank — A bank of thick fog rolls in and drops visibility to almost nothing.

Also in Free: an auto-spawn director — random disasters strike around you on their own, with adjustable frequency and radius, plus on-screen notifications.

PRO — 14 disasters (everything in Free, plus 8 more)

• 🏜️ Sandstorm — A towering wall of sand rolls through, shoving cars and burying the road in haze.
• 🌋 Volcanic Eruption — A vent erupts in smoke and fire, fountaining flaming lava bombs.
• 🌊 Tsunami — A wall of water sweeps across the map and washes everything away.
• 💥 Microburst — A sudden column of air slams cars into the ground and blasts them outward.
• 🧊 Hailstorm — Ice pelts down, denting cars and glazing the road dangerously slippery.
• 🕳️ Sinkhole — The ground collapses and drags cars down into the pit.
• 🔥 Firestorm — Fire pours from the sky, setting wide stretches of road and traffic ablaze.
• 🌀 Dust Devils — A swarm of small whirlwinds wanders the area, spinning anything they touch.

PRO also includes

• 4 intensity levels (Low → Extreme) that scale every disaster's power and size.
• All settings live in the radial menu — no separate app.

How to run and configure the mod

Press and hold the E key to open the radial menu. Find the Disasters entry there. From there you can configure everything and manually trigger the various phenomena.

Installation

Installation is standard. If the archived installation didn't work, try the unpacked version.

How to unlock the link

Click the download button and Boostylink will open. Complete the actions listed there (in this case - subscribe to Patreon for free for the Free version). Once you've done everything, return to that same Boostylink page and click the Unlock Link button. Done - you'll be redirected to the download page!

Where to get the PRO version

The PRO version is available on Patreon to paid subscribers. In the next update, all of the PRO functionality will be moved into the Free version, and new features will be added for PRO.
