In vanilla BeamNG the roads feel empty. There’s traffic, but nothing ever happens.
Dont forget to install Modslab HUB, otherwise you'll not have access to the settings menu!
Random Events fills the world around you with things that are already going on. Racers fly past you, police have a checkpoint across the road, a crash catches fire and the fire engine and ambulance drive in to deal with it. A school bus stops in your lane, a camper is stuck on the shoulder hoping someone will stop. You can just drive past, or stop and get involved.
It works on any map. There’s no setup per map: the mod reads the road network and parking areas of whatever map you load, so stock and community maps work the same way. Load a map you’ve never played and events start showing up.
What makes it feel alive
Living incidents. Some scenes change while you watch: a crash starts smoking, catches fire, emergency services get called, the lane is closed, the fire is put out, the wreck is towed away and the road opens again
Emergency services actually drive in. They don’t just appear already parked, they come down the road with lights on, stop near the scene and keep out of the way
Traffic reacts. When a scene blocks the road, the game’s traffic takes another route instead of driving into the cones
The Director controls the pace in waves: a busy part, then a calmer one, and the same event won’t repeat back to back. You can turn it off if you want it fully random
Reputation. Helping out gives you XP and a rank, from Newcomer to Legend. It doesn’t lock anything, it’s just so your good deeds count for something
Effects: steam from broken engines, red and blue lights on the road around emergency cars at night, flares near cones after dark, and real fire on burning cars. All of this can be turned off

The menu
Press G (or F3) to open Modslab Hub. Random Events has its own tab with five pages:
Events - all 75 events by category. Turn each one on or off, set how often it can happen, see how heavy it is, or spawn it right away to see what it does
Active - everything that’s running right now, with distance and direction. You can teleport to a scene, remove one or clear all of them
Setup - spawn distance, how many events at once, how often they happen, notifications, performance settings, profiles, the Low-End preset and a text backup of your settings
Track Record - your rank, good deeds, events you joined and how many of the 75 you’ve seen
Almanac - every event with a description, marked the first time you see it

When the menu is closed, a small dock in the corner shows what’s going on near you.

Performance
I made it to run on normal PCs, not only high-end ones.
Spawning a car from scratch makes the game freeze for a second or more, so the mod keeps a set of cars ready and reuses them. Crashed cars get repaired and reused too
The ready cars load behind a loading screen, either when you load a map with the mod on (around a minute longer on my PC) or when you turn the mod on. After that, events show up without stutter
Cars kept ready sets how many cars, from 8 to 40 (24 by default). Each one uses about 100 MB of RAM. If you have 16 GB, set it to 12 or use the Low-End preset
Scenes far away from you go to sleep and wake up when you come back
Every event has a High, Medium or Low load badge, and you can turn off a whole tier at once
Low-End preset turns off the heaviest events, keeps max four running and 12 cars ready
Install
Via AVA Mod Manager (recommended) or manually.
Compatibility
Works with the game’s own traffic and other gameplay mods
Natural Disasters (optional): if you have it, the rare World Event can start a tornado, meteor or earthquake. If you don’t, that event just does nothing
Settings, profiles and your rank are saved between sessions
Known issue
On maps with left-hand traffic, event cars still drive on the right.
