Stratohmx105-RB Air Race v2.1

Please don't judge too harshly—I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to modding and content creation. In fact, this is my very first mod! :)

From time to time, mostly for my own enjoyment and in-game needs, I tweak or refine maps, vehicles, or scripts that you’ve created. And now, I’ve finally decided to upload and share one of them—a long-reworked version of my favorite airplane.

If I'm not mistaken, the original mod is based on the Zivko Edge 540, an aircraft known for its stunning aerobatics in Red Bull Air Race competitions. So I thought—why not add something like that to the game?

Even though I made the skin a bit clumsily (Photoshop, sorry!), I also added a few new details to improve the plane's maneuverability. I replaced the engine sound with one that, in my opinion, most closely resembles the Lycoming IO-540 during gameplay.

The mod is far from perfect—it still has some known issues from the original, such as an overly "wobbly" fuselage, and after a crash, the engine sound sometimes stays at the crash site instead of following the plane. I’m not sure if I can fix these issues (or when), but honestly, they don’t ruin the flying experience for me. Hopefully, they won’t for you either!

Updated controls:

A – Rudder left

B – Activate smoke system

Right Arrow – Aileron right

S – Decrease throttle

D – Rudder right

Up Arrow – Elevator down

Left Arrow – Aileron left

W – Increase throttle

Down Arrow – Elevator up

Home – Trim up

End – Trim down

Delete – Enable trim mode
