Utah - Halloween Edition v1.0

Here’s a Halloween version of the stock Utah. It’s a separate map, so your normal Utah stays the same and you’ll see this one as its own map in Freeroam.

This is the second of a few Halloween maps, after East Coast USA Halloween. I’ll be releasing the others one by one, and they’re all free.

This map is free for everyone. The post is marked for paid members only because they get a direct download, but the version is exactly the same for everyone.

The night

• Full moon over the desert and the canyons. You can also switch to dusk or a blood-red sky

• Every spawn point has a pumpkin patch and a small graveyard

• The whole map is decorated: jack-o’-lanterns along the highways and dirt roads, at gas stations and car lots, scarecrows, hay bales, witch cauldrons, lonely grave crosses by the road, ghosts and bats

• If you drive into a pumpkin it smashes and grows back after a few minutes. Graves, hay bales and scarecrows are solid though

Monsters and other stuff

• Zombies, skeletons and pumpkin-heads walk on the roads, and there’s a witch flying around

• By default they’re harmless. If you make them hostile, they’ll go for your car and leave dents

• Sometimes a blood moon comes up, you’ll notice it

• If you see headlights in the mirror, it’s the hearse. Try not to let it catch you

• And sometimes your car might not do what you tell it

  

Pumpkin hunt

There are 13 cursed pumpkins hidden along the roads. Drive into one to collect it. If you can’t find them, the menu shows you the direction to the nearest one. Progress is saved.

Halloween menu

Open the radial menu and go to Halloween (it’s only there on this map). You can change:

• Sky: dusk, moonlit night, blood moon or the stock sky

• Monsters on or off, harmless or hostile, which types, how many and how much damage they do

• How often the blood moon and the hearse show up, or call them right away

• Hint for the pumpkin hunt

• Sounds and night ambience on or off, and the volume. The sounds are a first version, so if they annoy you, just turn them off here

Your settings are saved between sessions.

Other

• All seven stock spawn points, each one with its own Halloween spot and preview

• Prize pumpkins at the spawn points and a thank-you board at the main spawn with the names of my Patreon supporters

• Works alongside the stock Utah, nothing gets replaced
