2025 GMC Sierra v1.0

DESCRIPTION

The 2025 GMC Sierra lineup, which includes both the Sierra 1500 and the heavy-duty (HD) models, is largely a carryover from the previous model years. The Sierra 1500 received a significant refresh in 2022, and the HD models were updated in 2024, so the 2025 models feature only minor changes.

Key Features and Changes

Exterior: The most notable change for the 2025 models is the introduction of new 22-inch wheels on some trims. Otherwise, the exterior design, including the different grille designs for each trim, remains consistent with recent years.

Powertrain: The engine and transmission options are a direct carryover. The Sierra 1500 offers a range of choices:

A turbocharged 2.7L four-cylinder

Two V8 engines: a 5.3L V8 and a more powerful 6.2L V8

A 3.0L Duramax turbodiesel inline-six

The Sierra HD models continue to offer the 6.6L gasoline V8 and the 6.6L Duramax turbodiesel V8.

Towing and Payload: The 2025 Sierra 1500 maintains its maximum towing capacity of 13,200 pounds, but its maximum payload has been slightly increased to 2,530 pounds. The heavy-duty models remain highly capable, with the Sierra 3500 HD offering a maximum towing capacity of up to 36,000 pounds with the available Duramax diesel engine.

Technology: The interior technology is also carried over from the recent refresh. This includes a large 13.4-inch infotainment touchscreen with Google built-in software, as well as a 12.3-inch digital driver information display. Features like wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and available Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance are also available on higher trims.

Trim Levels and Pricing

The 2025 Sierra is available in a variety of cab configurations (Regular Cab, Double Cab, Crew Cab) and trim levels, from the work-ready Pro to the luxurious Denali Ultimate. The pricing can vary significantly depending on the trim, cab style, and optional packages you choose. The starting MSRP for the base Sierra 1500 Pro is around $40,495, while the heavy-duty models and higher-end trims, such as the Denali and AT4, can go well into the $70,000 range.

Pro: The base, no-frills work truck.

SLE/Elevation: Step up to more features and a more stylish exterior.

SLT: A blend of capability and premium features.

AT4: The off-road specialist with a factory lift and upgraded suspension.

AT4X: An even more capable off-road variant.

Denali: The traditional top-of-the-line luxury model.

Denali Ultimate: The most luxurious and tech-heavy trim, featuring premium materials and advanced driver-assist features.
