Scania PGR Series 2004-2018 1.55

The Scania PGR series, from 2004 to 2018, was a line of heavy-duty trucks produced by Scania that became extremely popular globally and is widely recognized and recreated in simulation games such as Euro Truck Simulator 2. This line was the successor to the Scania 4 Series and marked an important era for the brand.

The series consisted of three main models, differentiated primarily by cab size and height:

P-series: The lowest and most compact cab in the line, ideal for urban operations, distribution, and short-haul operations. It offered easy cab access and excellent visibility, making it a practical choice for jobs requiring frequent stops.

G-series: A compromise, offering a good balance between comfort and space, and being taller than the P-series. It was a versatile cab, suitable for a wide range of applications, from heavy-duty to long-haul transport, with flexible engine options and configurations. The G-series was added to the lineup in 2007.

R-series: The most luxurious and spacious cab in the series. It was designed for long-distance transport, offering maximum driver comfort with increased interior space, bed options, and storage. The R-series became a Scania icon, known for its combination of power and comfort.

Throughout its production period (2004-2018), the PGR series received significant updates and facelifts in 2009 and 2013, keeping the trucks modern and competitive. Production of the PGR series ended in Europe in 2018, ushering in the new generation of Scania trucks.
