TM Real Walk lets you leave your truck and explore on foot, in first person, in Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator.
One plugin file works in both games.
Walk, run, crouch and jump (WASD), with realistic head movement, footsteps, breathing and a tired sigh after a long run.
NEW: Jobs on foot.
Freight market and company jobs have the full routine: check in at the office, park in the loading / unloading spot, chock the wheels, open and secure the load, and collect your papers (bill of lading, signed POD).
An on-screen checklist (= key) shows every step, worded for your trailer and cargo.
Choose Simple, Normal or Hardcore - or switch it off.
NEW: Rest and the driver's needs.
Park with the handbrake on and press Shift + R: coffee, a meal, a cigarette, water, the first aid kit, or sleep in the bunk with the game's own sleep.
Tiredness, hunger and thirst go down as you drive and walk (Relaxed, Normal or Realistic pace).
NEW: Your own driver's licence (ATS CDL or EU licence) and company ID badge, with your name, photo and dates.
NEW: Road Trip (ATS) car jobs: carry the package from the passenger seat and hand it over with the documents.
NEW: Loading screen.
After loading a save, the screen stays black with the TM Real Walk logo and a progress bar until the world around you has loaded - no more smeared world at the start.
Trailer work on foot.
Uncouple step by step: lower the landing gear, detach the air hoses and cable, pull the fifth wheel pin.
Couple step by step: back under the trailer and the fifth wheel locks by itself, do a tug test, connect the hoses, raise the landing gear.
Works with B-doubles and drawbar trailers too.
The trailer steps use YOUR attach key.
If you moved "Attach / Detach trailer" away from T, the plugin finds your key in the game's controls by itself.
Realistic getting out of and back into the cabin: your head turns to the door, you climb down the steps; getting back in, you see the real cabin and the cab rocks on its suspension.
Fuelling on foot.
Pay with your fuel card at the pump (card, PIN terminal, odometer), lift the nozzle and the pump display starts from 0.00, put the nozzle in the tank - it tilts in and stays on the filler while you look around - then hang it up and take your printed receipt.
ETS2: DKV card, km, euro.
ATS: Comdata card, miles, dollars.
AdBlue (DEF in ATS) with the blue nozzle at its own cap.
The receipt shows diesel and AdBlue separately.
Hit by a vehicle: traffic that runs into you knocks you over, and a hard hit makes you pass out for a moment.
A flashlight that works by day and by night (right mouse button), held in your hand, with three beam sizes (G).
Realistic hands that take the light and colour of the scene, get wet in the rain and dirty after work.
A soft shadow follows you on the ground, so you can see where your feet are.
Real ground under your feet: the plugin uses the game's own collision, so fences, buildings and walls stop you, and you follow slopes and roads (with some limitations).
Hold E while walking forward to climb stairs and steps; press F8 to hop through a wall to enter or leave a building, or if you get stuck.
Zoom in by holding the left mouse button.
Adjustable eye height (Q / E).
Head tracker support (TrackIR / opentrack) while walking, and smooth mouse look.
Snowy Moon friendly: press End to open its menu while walking - the walk pauses, so clicks in the menu don't move the view.
16 languages for the settings menu AND all in-game texts (prompts, hints, pump screen, receipt, checklist).
A settings menu (Ctrl+F10).
Almost everything can be adjusted or switched off there.
One key works on one computer.

Works with ETS2 1.61.1.9 / ATS 1.61.3.18 (and older 1.61 builds). No need to replace your INI.
Halloween event: the portal works again (sit in the cab, press Enter).
Job offers: drive through the company's green box once, park anywhere in the yard, ask at the office.
Car jobs (ATS Road Trip): take the package, carry it on the passenger seat, hand it over with the documents.
Gas station shop: food, drinks, snacks and personal items, paid from your bank. Everything goes into the truck's stock.
New items with their own hand animations: chips, beef jerky, hot dog, energy drink, soda, wet wipes, painkillers.
Truck stops: eat at the diner, take a shower, use the toilet.
Driver status rings (hunger, thirst, sleep, toilet, shower, health) above the HUD, shown and hidden with F3.
New needs: toilet and shower.
Auto seatbelt with sound, and the keys jingle on rough roads.
Bunk: the alarm clock hides after 4 s.
DEF cap under the door no longer says "Hang up the nozzle first".
Smaller fuel receipt, chain points point to the nearest chain, the clipboard rises straight from the hand.
The DLL is signed by TM Modding Studio (0/70 on VirusTotal). If your antivirus flags it, that is a false positive.
Before you start, close the game and open config.cfg:
ETS2: Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\config.cfg
ATS: Documents\American Truck Simulator\config.cfg
Find these two lines and set both values to "1":

Save the file, then start the game.
Tested with ETS2 & ATS v1.61
HOW TO INSTALL (once per game)
1. Extract the zip file first.
2. Copy TMRealWalk.dll and TMRealWalk.ini into the game's bin\win_x64\plugins folder.
3. Start the game and press Ctrl+F10.
4. Open the Licence tab and paste the key from your receipt or from the Gumroad download page. Full instructions are in the README inside the zip.
