Extremely Icey Road Surfaces v1.0

DESCRIPTION

This mod makes all road surfaces simulate extreme ice conditions.

It is ment to be used with frosty_ats_v4_5 OR Dalton_Elliot_Hwy_Winter_map.

It can be used without either and you can simulate black ice.

It should be used with steering wheel.

Steering wheel will feel off center. This is supposed to happen. Don't let go!

Driving in towns will take some relearning on corners. Slow speed will turn

however the faster you go the more chance of loosing traction and you go straight.

The Trailer will not wobble like other winter mods but it will slide sideways.

Your truck itself will have less traction in front tires when moving forward.

The faster you are going on a curve or street corner the straighter you will slide.

Your traction in the back duels or traction tires will slide sideways

on corners and curvers kind of like drifting.

and dont count on your breaks for to much. They will stop you at a light

but if you are going to fast down a mountain you got a big problem.

This mod will cause unpredictable slides and sudden pulls to left or right.

All effects of the mod can be compensated for IF you have the right stuff.

If you take your time to learn to drive on ice you can still get going

50, 60, even 70 if you dare. Watch out! Speed is you enemy on ice!

Wow I used to drive the Dalton. I only use the Dalton Elliot map mod. With this ice mod added to it, it is amazing!
My first delivery was to pump station 5 and I made it 32 miles up before I got cocky and took a corner
and lost the truck, went over the edge and Game over! Just like the real thing!
This gives the game a new challenge that has been missing. Use this and The Dalton map and you got a whole new gaming experience. ATS is now Alaskan Ice Driving Simulator

it can, I suggest using the frosty winter mod with it for visual affect. put this above all mods and frosty winter mod next then North America or whatever map you use at the bottom of the mod manager, or no map at all. Happy Driving.

Complete description and directions:

This mod makes all road surfaces simulate extreme ice conditions.
I suggest using the frosty winter mod with it for visual affect, or
The Dalton Elliot map. The Dalton is what I use.
Put this above all mods and frosty winter mod next under this then
whatever map you use at the bottom of the mod manager.
It can be used with all map mods, or no map at all.
Brake setting all the way to the left and suspension settings all to the right.
Again this mod should go above all other mods.
It should be used with a steering wheel.
Disable auto-center on your steering wheel.
Steering wheel will go off center. This is supposed to happen and center
may even switch sides after a slide and many attempts to correct the slide.
Don't let go and dont give up!
Driving in towns will take some relearning on corners.
Slow speed will turn. Try idling the engine.
The faster you go the more chance of loosing what traction you have.
The Trailer will not wobble like other winter physics mods, but the back will slide sideways
and it will push you.
Your truck itself will have less traction in front tires
and may even slide sidways a bit when you are stopped. Even the slightest bump or hill has affect.
The faster you are going on a curve or street corner the greater chance of loosing control.
Use your gears alot for both slowing and speeding up. Skipping gears on ice is dangerous.
Your traction in the back duels or "traction tires" will slide sideways
on corners and curvers kind of like drifting. You must drive accordingly
and dont count on your brakes for to much. They will stop you at a light
but if you are going to fast down a mountain you got a big problem.
Use your gears and Dont pump the brakes.
Spinouts can happen if you miss a gear while climbing a grade
and you may even slide backwards down the montain and have to restart from the bottom.
Small, slow and steady moves on the brakes, accelerator and steering.
I suggest using air brake simulation "ON" for more challenge.
This mod will cause unpredictable slides and sudden pulls to left or right.
All effects of the mod can be compensated for IF you have the right stuff and
If you take your time to learn to drive on ice. If you slide off the road and
dont slide off the mountain {world} you can usually get going again, be creative.
You can still get going
50, 60, even 70 MPH if you dare. Watch out! Speed is you enemy on ice!
I made my first dlivery to pump station 7 from Fairbanks in 3 hrs and 22 minutes
real time and during the trip I slid into the ditch and found a way out and I
spun out on mile 39 when I missed a gear downshifting to get up the hill!
Remember the Dalton is a 1;1 real time map mod.
