If you have the mod you no longer need a shovel to fill the fertilizer spreader.
Here is an idea I had for loading directly into the fertilizer spreader, implemented by 2 colleagues who didn't want to upload it themselves but gave me permission to upload the mod.

but you need the "Developer PowerTools" to be able to carry it!

See that front loader on your tractor, you place the bucket under the dump gate, and then dump whatever you want into the rear fertilizer bin, easy-peezy.
